Fantastic app, could use a few small improvements. Very easy to navigate, also love the pro subscription because it's not super expensive and it offers some valuable extras features. I do wish that when searching, I could also filter by fee type (discover pass, national park pass, etc) and averages time to complete target than just difficulty.
It was good for a few months then GPS errors happened. This makes the app just about useless. Is there a fix to this?
Quite literally a life saver
I wouldn't trust this app. I have numerous issues with it such as: trail heads being in the wrong location, trails being off, and the app has illegal trails your not supposed to do, and for somereason people are allowed to post: pictures, recordings and reviews on these illegal hikes.
Annoying row of questions after track recording. Since 2020, starting a recording became harder. Clunky UI for managing and viewing old recordings. Offline maps are bad and never were great. Last year I even subscribed for 1 year with a discount, but cancelled my subscription now because found myself using it less and less because of worsening UI and how unreliable recordings became. For last half a year, I barely made 1 or 2 recordings. So sad seeing another app becoming an unusable mess.
Zero defect...Perfect design.
I've tried several other apps to see how they do for maps online and offline. AllTrails is the easiest to use and generally accurate the others were more difficult to use and I haven't seen a difference in accuracy. I use alltrails for hiking in the White mountains. The offline feature works great. I also really liked being able to create maps. it's a non-pro feature but viewing images and reviews of trails is also very useful. great app.
